CTD after 10-15 minutes of play

Postby Aramithius » 26 June 2017, 06:28

I got BTG: Armada in the Steam sale, and it only works for about 10-15 minutes of play before freezing up and crashing. I have no error logs, but can't actually get to the point of completing the tutorial (the crash point is a minute or two after manoeuvring round the first mine), or completing the first mission. It doesn't seem to matter how long I spend outside the game, or what I do in the game.

I'm running on Windows 10, with specs that exceed the minimum requirements. I don't know what's going on, but the Steam forums suggest there may have been a recent patch that's causing this. If so how do I roll back? If not, any ideas on what I can do?

There's not been a patch for some time.

Fair enough. Any ideas on what could be causing this, and/or any more information I can gather that might help with a diagnosis?

Greetings Aramithius,

Sorry to hear that. Can you please provide us your full computer specs? Are your drivers up-to-date?
Please check that Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is correctly installed:

1. Run Steam and click LIBRARY.
2. Right click on 'Battlefleet Gothic: Armada' and click 'Properties'.
3. Click the tab 'LOCAL FILES' then click the button 'VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE'.

Thank you.

Thank you for your report.

After a close reading, it appears that your graphic cards are a bit under minimum requirements.
This is probably why you experience those issues.
At first, I'd recommend to lower the graphic settings but you still encounter crashes, you should probably change your graphic cards. :(

Sorry for the inconvenience.
