best medium to get the character of 40k across

Postby Flyingrhinoman » 02 May 2016, 19:41

With 40k video games having varying degrees of success, this one seems to be on the right track, I want to ask what you guys thought would be the best medium to get the 40k universe out there visually. Since the books do well I was wondering what way you guys would do it. I personally like the cut scenes from dow2 and could get behind a movie like the wow one coming out. My other idea would be an anime about the dark elder as they seem to epitomize the dark days of 40k. What do think
For those who challenge the might of the Imperium I laugh at you as you desperately try to damage the armored prow while I watch you scrabble to doge my glorious swarm of torpedoes. Eldar please run away

My personal opinion is that no "one" medium exists yet. Although a Feature length movie with a 15+ rating might help alot.

a 40k ..... anime??

hell no, that doesnt match up well. a comic movie (american art) maybe, i can image that in my head, but i dont want to see some big eyed, busty, small wasted anime chicks appear as sororitas.

While I agree with you I was talking about the space dark elves in particular

If done with the right budget and in CG I think 40k could be done just fine by a Japanese animation company, look at the animation of the recent Captain Harlock Movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vdw0If6Zzg

its not a matter of decent animation, its a matter of graphic style at the core
