Anyway, Imperial battleships are anything but 6km. That was just a fan estimate. Official data includes 8km and 16km.

16km seems a bit high, but if this is the case it's even more to my point.

The two commonly accepted scales are:

Escort : 1 to 1,5 km light cruiser 4km Cruiser 5km Grand Cruiser 7km Battleship 8km. This would put strike cruiser at 4km and Battlebarge at 8km.

Escort 1 to 3km, cruiser 9km, grand cruiser 13km, battleship 16km, Gloriana I think 20 or 25km. This would put battlebarges at 16km and strike and light cruisers around 4-5-6km.

The smaller scale is better scaled to tabletop models, the larger one to the artwork.

Please help me change skirmish to be customisable. Its very important for PVE players.

The funny part is if you look at TT FW models, ingame weapons are a strict representation of the weapons.
So if you call people lazy plz go on GW forums to tell this to them not on TIndalos who have to convert models from TT to game without changing anything
Repent, for tomorrow you die

Aw, don't try to ruin things with the FACTS!

That is almost as bad as bringing LOGIC in here.

I'm sorry to hear that. GW's derp is really the big problem for the game. They just want a boardgame adapted to RTS without any changes. Well that's not a good situation.

They allowed different marks of SM ships and give Deimurg their own mining drone ordenance, at least that's something.

I think the GW forums melted in 2004 or something when they wanted to sell individual models for 20 dollars per space marine :D

Oh no, they deleted most of those forums as soon as the posters went ballistic, and since the posts don't exist anymore, they never DID. Denial is NOT just a river in Egypt.

GW has ultimate control and if they want the Tau to have upsized versions of their regular weapons, it MUST BE SO! Or the Commissar will be by shortly to hear your complaints. His complaint department is in his holster. (And people call the TAU heavy handed?)

What? The FW TT models are NOT exact replicas of the weapons. Am I missing something here? Just google the images. They look nothing like these weapon turrets. None of the TT BFG models have this design. Please show me one. Why is this a discussion? Look at the pictures, acknowledge the cut and paste, move on.

GW didn't let you come up with your own designs. Man that's laaaame. But at least we know. Thank you for chiming in, and thank you for all the work you've done. It is truly wonderful to see these ships that I know and love brought to such life.

Forge World and GW have an... INTERESTING relationship. Forge World makes all kinds of stuff and it doesn't always make sense from a game standpoint. Thing is, they can MAKE it make sense. (With a heavy enough hammer, ANYTHING can be fitted into the rules)

While Forge World makes rather good rules and managed to balance 30k well enough, they are not on top in the lore department.

I just love that we could be discussing balance or bugs, or fixing the older factions that still needs fixing, but instead, one of the most popular threads is someone complaining about similarities in weapon looks.

I'm kinda starting to understand why the devs don't take us all too seriously :P

Apologies for not adding anything constructive to the discussion, just wanted to express my sarcastic comment is all
