Most useful SM favour

Personally I think Master of the Forge and Chapter Master is most useful.

Shame you can only have 1 of each(Unless I'm wrong) in your fleet.

The obvious two have already been mentioned, they are REALY strong. I only wonder if the Chapter Master one may affect allies in 2v2. Imho it should.
As for the others they are kinda meh.
Sanctity may work well for data I guess? Not sure tho.
The Librarian is kinda neat to force a ship to take a mutiny test yet I suggest it being used more like a finisher when the ship already has other penalities for the test rather than an opener. With its CD it may be used as both tho.

Yeah I'm bit confused about what it meant by mutiny test does it mean it makes other enemy ships mutiny?

Whena ship reaches 30% hull it usually do a mutiny test with a chance to fail. That chance is based on captain skill race etc... number of ships that just died...

You can trigger this test at any time with this skill.

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3114&start=280#p52857 Scroll down for Know No Fear question. He said a destroyed deck increase the odds of an insubordination happening. And also it's either the hull damage OR loss of ship that provoke a mutiny test. The loss of other allied ships does not increase the odds when making a mutiny test DUE to hull damage.

Master of the Forge makes one ship immensely powerful.

Chapter Master Either makes all your special orders better than everyone else's or makes your assault actions even more effective.

Chief Librarian can disable an enemy ship briefly and if not dealt with, possibly even remove it from the battlefield. It is very useful against the carriers that enemies will use to defend their fleets. Especially in a 2v while paired with a slaaneshi ally.

Master of sanctity is the worst by far in my opinion, but it can be useful for the times you do close in, so any boarding is very one sided, before you return to a safer range.
Do you hear the voices too?!?

Anyone else having trouble getting the chief librarian favour to work since the patch fix ? Might be rng but I'm having a tough time (it aint working) getting it to force a mutiny check using chief librarian with max crew skps.

I've been having a tremendous amount of luck with the following setup at 600pts. Every ship has Advanced Cogitator Links to further extend the awesomeness of their Special Orders.

Master of Sanctity, Cruiser Strike Mk.3 - I'm running this guy with Supercharged Void Shields and the Add'l Void Generator, Voss Pattern Void Shield and Chapter Banner. He's my pseudo-brawler and doesn't mind getting in close to exchange some hits and drop an Assault Action. This vessel can truly be a godsend for Data Recovery missions, (steal the data, pop MoS Ability and then Full Speed away, while your fleet runs interference).

Chief Librarian, Cruiser Strike Mk.1 - I'm running this Cruiser Strike as a support vessel and light carrier. So, the Chief Librarian ability was to me, a no-brainer. My Mk.1 is normally sitting at the back of the engagement, using Reload and it's Abilities to keep the harassment up.

Chapter Master, Battle Barge Mk.1 - I tried to make my Battle Barge very durable, with Add'l Void Generator, Voss Pattern Shield upgrades and Belt Armor, I'm also running the Boarding Homing Torpedoes on him, as they're the only ones in my fleet. With the Chapter Master ability, I can increase my critical chance on all my ships significantly and dump out an incredible amount of damage in a short amount of time. Couple this with the Advanced Cogitator Links and the benefit lasts for quite a bit. I know there's arguments out there for the Master of Forge and turning your Battle Barge into a monster... and honestly, I'll try this with my 2nd Barge. I wanted to go for a more cohesive Space Marine fleet feel and for that there's nothing better than the Chapter Master in my opinion.

Still, have yet to try the Chapter Master's ability with a fleet of Light Cruisers and Escorts.

I second this. It's my first choice on all Marine ships. It gives you a great amount of flexibility.
