Patience not your strong point ? Don't play Eldar........

I belive there's a diffrence between a hit and run tactic and skulking at 10k range and hoping that bombers will do all the work for you. My PoV on eldar is a high risk high reward faction but what you guys suggest doing is a diffrent matter altogheter

Try spliting the fleet in three groups. The idea is to make the enemy blob chase one of the groups while the others shoot from the sides and the back. The trouble is not to forget to give movement orders to the groups and to keep the fleets close enough to give aid to each other. Vauls manuther is a must. If presented with a chance always approach from the back. Forgot to add use stealth in the beginning to position the fleets.

thanks for all your suggestions. it is the hardest race to play and the least forgiving but so much bloody fun. i'm now admiral level 7 and can't wait to finally receive the voidstalker, my own nemesis.

are you taking the speed upgrade on the ships or save the slot for something else? i was also considering the micro warp jump on the VS but i'm not sure if the slot is better be filled with something else, like bombs or so.

Problem these days is there is a lot more ordinance being taken to counter the S.M. To counter boarding torps and thunder hawks I'm seeing more carrier fleets from chaos, Ork and I.N. Stand off and bomb just isn't as viable as it was. Stealth carrier or stealth Pulsar are viable but it's getting tough out there.

I'm finding the upgrade for wraith bone shift relevant on the auroras, eclipses and vs. The speed upgrade is mandatory on the slower vs and eclipses. That extra +25 is compulsory for the slow VS. Prefer skills MWJ/Vauls/ your choice on other two on VS tbh. MWJ will be used to counter your vs so take it to counter the counter.

An'Grathul requested advice in a similar thread. I provided him with a carrier-focused Eldar setup there. Perhaps it will be useful for you as well.

very decent guide and many useful insights on general gameplay and countering other factions. exactly what i was looking for.

the crew section is very interesting too. i generally max out voidsingers (and equivalents for other factions ) to quickly leave the battlefield if i screw a game (or my mate XD). i think i'm going to recondition those to your suggestions if i feel saver and have a level 10 fleet.

many thanks!

That's planning for failure though. By that logic we'd never be able to get micro warp jump on any ship because it puts our warp out button on cooldown. Always fight to the death.

since the nerfhammer struck the mwj i think this skill is only viable on a expensive and or slow ship like a bs or a bc. on smaller vessels i prefer other skills.

Only in death does duty end and besides that you also end up quickly in grinding hell because you get zero experience points on the destroyed ships. You also only earn 25 renown per loss which means you have to play 8 games to grind out 200 renown for a lousy upgrade when you loose constantly. this damnation is eternal if you cannot disengage fast enough!

Mhm, M-W-J would be the 4th skill on a voidstalker or shit. I'd never sacrifice Radar Beacon, Darkstar Squadron or Vaul's Manuevre for that.

All my eldar ships are level 10 and I am currently resting on a five digit renown number so if my Voidstalker, Boaty McBoatface is destroyed, I simply instantly repair it. It has been happening a tad more often as of late because I am challenging myself to give the enemy a chance by not taking Escorts to spot targets for the bombers.
