Ork DethDeala Builds

Oi,

I have been experimenting with the big bad orky spacehulk battleship. So far the configuration which is working in most of my battles (except eldar...)

Engine:
    Grot-Tuned Thrusters,
    Lotsa-Thrusters

Weaponry:
    Armor Piercing

Skills:
    Overload Shieldz,
    Mekboy Capacitor,
    Micro Warp Jump,
    Enhanced Inductor Cells

The weapons I'm using are:
    1 Zap turret,
    Double Mega Cannon,
    Prow Gunz,
    Lotza Gunz on the sides

Currently I have the Evil Sunz favour on it, for the Traktor Beam and the extra combustion gauge. What I might put on is the +300% crit to lances on lock on order.

What are your builds on battleships?

Prefacing this by saying that i dont run the deathdela at all any more, at 112 speed vs decent opponents its simply kited too easily


i tried
2 mega zzzaps and double MK's

heavy torp laucha x3 heavy gunz

and i tried with DMK's and x2 Heavy gunz

the latter combo while range limited does put out much more dps and lets me focus my my upgrades isnted of spillting them between lances and macros

for favors ive run them all

SAG's just under preform too much, i rarely ever see it suceed and even when it has the fire that it starts is hardly impressive and +1 upgrade slots is not much compensation

DMK's/Super torp lauchas are too good to risk with nova kannonz

Goffs are alright but its kinda meh if you get in ramming or assualt distance of the deathdeala your already dead

which leaves Sunz which is the best any way

For skills i have the standard induction cells + MWJ

then for the remaining 2 ive tried super charge void shields to try and soak up focus fire while trying to get in range

taunt

transfer shields for a more support role

stasis bomb, of it has the standard application of CC, but droping a stasis bomb is a moment control tool too, similar torp screens

i briefly tied using auger disruptors, to restrict preple MWJ distance

lastly ive recently started slotting plasma bombs to destroy the stasis bombs people are dropping vs orks to kite them

It's handy in Assassination since it has a lot of hull point, all you need is enough meatshields around it to absorb most of the incoming fire.

I don't belive ships should only "viable" in a specific game type

That too only as defender

I'm having fun with it, need 1 more level to level 10. Even the lotza gunz melt the shields of smaller ships, and the traktor beam is just ridiculous on this one. Almost inescapeable.

I've been having fun with a 3 Zzap build.
Upgrades:
Grot tuned thrusters and shield-breaka shot. Will add shootier lances and mork-blessed scanners once hes leveled up.
Skills:
Taunt
MWJ
Enhanced induction cells
Grot on a rok

General tactic is set him to 3k prow charge towards chaos at horrifying speed ZZap away ships shield as they run and stick a Grot on a rok on him. Keep zapping till hes dead :P

Very few have got the guts to get close to an Ork battleship so hes pretty much free to shoot them up :lol:

I use mine as a linebreaker/heavy centre for a longrange fleet.
Its main job is to force the opponant to flee by being scary.

I use 2 Zaap, Mega Kannon forward.
Nova Kannon Favor.

Micro Warp, Taunt, Refuel and Plasma Bomb (although this one could probably be better on something else)
Belt Armour, Turn Speed, 15k Zaap gun range, Squigs, Thruster guage increase.
Max gunners, boyz and grotz


Basically get into the 3rd bar of the nova kannon range and fire yoru first shot use reload to put it on a 30 second cd and fire another nova kannon at point blank range. Then use your battleship to micro warp jump forward and taunt the most important ship ramming it with 2x red buttons. The rest of yoru fleet follows and the enemy usually panics and tries to run/warp out.

I would say go Goffs for PVE. MP I think the best for you is Evil Suns.
