I actually got bored of orks Trakktor, MWJ, induction cell, taunt 1 playstyle build a while back, tried other stuff but nothing else was as effective

I really hope the new skills and stuff bring about new playstyles

So that every ork fleet online dosnt seem exactly the same

I love how IN are complaining about mega cannons while they have one (with a better accuracy I might add) attached to each dominator broadside effectively.

As a player who is guilty of using this style of play, I must make a few points:

1) I hate this build. It makes orks a one trick pony and it is not the kind of style ork is meant to be played. Orks should be about ramming, boarding and general deadly goofyness. I adore any type of play that can bring my opponent "down to my(orkish) level" and I beat the snort out of them, but this build actually means to negate ork's weakness instead of creatively uiltilising ork's strength.

2) this build works miracles against imperials, is the ONLY viable build against Slaaneshi carrier trolls, don't work so well against goff orks and is practily useless against the most broken of them all: all uthwe 9k pulsar distrupter silent run trolldar who could micro like a starcraft pro (to be fair it is pretty much gg for all factions when facing such eldar).

The problem with orks today is that they have way too many hard counters against them instead of simply weaknesses. For example: mechanicus taunts and you will be firing at the wrong target 40 secs, slaanesh sings and you'll be doing nought for 40 Sec while 1 of your escort blews your entire fleet warps which means that even with squigs you have an extremely high risk of blowing up one of your engines by executing, any decent eldar will stay out of sight range and running circles around you, constantly doging your bombs uthwe has the paticular nasty ability which makes lightining strike and boarding useless by adding the ridiculous 20 troop value. It's not 20% success rate, it's 5%.

And no, Nova Kannon is just way too unreliable.

So what I think that sould solve the problem is to add in changes that makes other builds viable. Developers need to find a way to make ork close range build be able, though not always able, to get in range when facing faster opponents other than just tractor and statis. For longer range builds (why play ork then??) make zzap and fighters more viable. Zzaps should have a slighter higher crit, and fightabombas should have a slight increase in quantity or something.

Give Orks prow mounted Flakk Kannons (mini nova cannons mechanically) that shoots shells which explode at up to 12k range, spewing boarding shrapnel. It would do minimal damage, but always crits in a 1k radius. >.>

I found the traktor cannon actually great against eldar, catch one, get it in close range and watch it explode.

Orks will just spam those too then.... They need options not "mandatory equip all ships with this" options
