im a level 3 chaos player and im having a lot of trouble deciding what cruiser to get next. while the twin linked batteries offer some interesting opportunities im thinking about focusing on carrier capabilities. what are the benefits of twin linked, or are they useful at all?

While carriers are good, i like to have one or two nurgle carnage cruisers built for speed and tankyness to run interference and reveal the ennemy

Twin linked have lances mixed in.
More effective for taking down shields and crits, but less damage and range.

Recomend the Carnage or the Murder for a first option.
Both have decent/good batteries and Murder has a pair of prow lances.

CAL.

I've given up on MP due to instability for me atm (65-80% crash to desktop). However that said. Really really enjoying the Carnage. Especially as you level it up. With a speed upgrade, range on MACRO and accuracy on MACRO you can really quite happily potter along your Light cruisers (2 Hellbringer and 2 Hellbringer MK.2) to cause some real issues. Micro the hold fire and focus fire.

Carnage opens up with Heavy Macro turrets AND a broadside at 12K with 3K accuracy, stripping shields. Then Mk.2s hit with Lances targetting generators. Meanwhile your carriers are the flexible response. If he has carriers you launch fighters, if he has lots of escorts nipping at you then you hit them with Assault boats/bombers. If he has none of that you hit the weakest target with Assault boats and start stripping systems.

Is a potent fleet.
