A good way to fight this are escorts.

I actual had a gayme with 2 Hellbringer against a imperial LC and 3 Escords.

it was no problem to hunt the LC down, everything was damaged and only 2 live left with first boarding-partys and then bombers. But he also have 3 Escords with front-lances and they hunt my 2 Carriers down in notime. :shock:

Depends. Once those LCs get Khorne upgrades escorts will rapidly fall to Assault boats due to the amount of fires they suffer! Not to mention the Chaos LCs can be Seriously Seriously fast at which point they will hold the range advantage.

Assault boats and boarding are the most potent way to win atm due to the inability for criticals to be repaired in any form.

Most OP build I've seen. 4 Hellbringer broswag carrier swarms, shooting out the engines from anything heavy enough to fight them. Kill the escorts with bomber wings, then kritzkrieg the capitals into burning, useless hulks that can't even warp out.

Lol. Just switch to bombers and kill the escorts.

Just think Styx is fast enough to keep up with them. So you can easily do a pure carrier fleet and spam the OPness that is Assault Boats.

Give 2 of them Khorne, 1 Zeentch (Stealthy run away) and 1 Nurgle (AOE ability to disuade lucky escorrs). Ultimate cheese.

I'm rather curious how effective turrets and fighters are at countering assault boat murder.
Bombers seem to get obliterated by massed turrets and fighters, torpedoes get shot down quite often, but I have yet to see any boarding action or assault boat get denied by flak/fighter squadrons (unless that is somehow counted in the "failure" roll? that would make no sense though).
Might make that +turrets upgrade worth it if they're effective at all in reducing the angry space bee swarm.

I think it works a bit like that :
Each squadron launched is composed of some fighters/bombers/assaults (i would say 5)

Each bomber deals separate damage so if 4 are killed by turrets and fighters you will deal only 20% of the damage output of bombers but for assault, if just 1 of them reach ship it deals the boarding action, so killing 4 is useless and drasticly reduce the efficiency of turrets and fighters as you need to wipe the full sqaudron to be effective.

Would be good if someone can confirm if it works like this

I heard that every boarding ship does a boarding action if get to the target alive. :shock:
