Imperial Navy favour works surprisingly well against eldar, as the fights will often become drawn out chases, giving you extra torps and escorts to use against them.

Imperials have a rather easy time against eldar compared to any other faction. Nova forces them to get sort of close, while the SM favour allows for boarding actions, they have lots of macro canons that pass through the holo fields more easily. The inquisition favour compensates a lot for the hit-n-run tactics by spotting the enemy from afar and allowing long-range macros to hit, and they have a lot of abilities with their shields that can "tank" pulsars pretty well.

Honestly, it's just as unfun for an Imperial to be dragged around by an eldar than it is for an eldar to fight an imperial that either camps a cloud or even simply moves forward with novas on automatic.

Well, I prefer the ones that camp clouds, I spam torpedoes at them, and eldar torpedoes are harder to intercept.

Calixis wrote:I'm so sick and tired of Cruiser Clash against Eldar where the entire game turns into nothing but "chase the enemy around the map in a circle," I've noticed this is especially obnoxious when the enemy KNOWS they've lost. At least if there's still a decent chance for them to win, I can understand it as a viable tactic to hit-and-run your ships but when it's one crippled ship versus pretty much the entire fleet you know it's out of spite. Chaos players do this as well, but at least as Imperial Navy you've got better odds of catching up to them. Usually, I can send a ship or two 'ahead' of their predicted route and catch them off-guard, but much of the time they can just pull an emergency turn and zoom out. I've been targeting the engines to counter-act this, but even with Boarding Actions and Lightning Strikes it's still an obnoxiously random chance (though I guess that's preferable to them taking out mine and leaving me a sitting duck like in beta).

Seriously, this has happened in my last four damn games (also against Chaos, granted). I've won them all, but the last ten-fifteen minutes were unnecessary. I lost one game after having the game crash after ten minutes of chasing one damn ship, which of course cost me the game against my otherwise fully intact fleet.

God forbid you're playing as Orks. You guys must have the patience of saints.

Yes, this is a rage thread. QQ, git good, etc.

Always have a fast escort with extended sensor range. Spam nova on their asses and eventually you will kill some of them. Use lots of bombers ( to reach the ships spotted by the fast escort). Games agaisnt eldar are liek this, but you cannot expect them to turn and face you ehad on sicne they woudl have zero chance of survival.

Eldar are so fragile they have no choice but too kite you with carriers or pulsers coz if they get to mid range they start dissolving to your macro batteries. TBh if ya do what da orks do and take mwj taunt and go all ahead full or use nova cannon spam like the blood axes without the 25% penalty they get which results in the dam thing blowin your bow off ya should be golden. They are my fav enemy atm in terms off an easy win for da orkz. You guys ram harder !

So guys, the Eldar are gonna lose their +3K Pulsar range: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3126

The Eclipse will have to close to 6K and the Voidstalker will need to get to 9K. They're looking at other tweaks to the Pulsars too.

That means that even a Dominator's broadsides, if turbo-upgraded can reach out and smash an Eclipse. It could still change, of course, but it's promising.

If you are kiting then there is a problem. Box them in or target their engines before anything else..

Slow Xenos , Dead Xenos.

You know what eldar players will do then?

dont even engage :P, carrier spam and thats it.Eldar gameplay is broken, when they would give them the weapon layout of TT and make them a bit more tankier you would see the fights you wish but since the devs have a stick too deep in their... eldar will always play like that.
