Lightning strikes are teleport teams from ship inside enemy ship --> turrets can t stop energy beams so no impact on LS
Boarding pods are physical objects send to enemy ships. Turrets increasing troop value represents the pods which can be destroyed before they reach enemy ship
Turrets are defending against assault ships from carrier by destroying them and cancelling the boarding action

Cruiser can be buffed to 3/4

Battleships even to 3/5

Damn that sucks for balance. Yet another example of why upgrades, skills and favors need to scale with ship size.
