Why aern't pulsars nerfed yet?

Seriously why aern't they nerfed yet? No really, you can make excuses and argue for why they have completely broken amounts of damage but that just means your dumb. Why aern't they nerfed yet?

Because the devs are working on a complete rebalance of the Eldar beyond just the pulars? Ya know, like they said they would?

they could just lower the damage number, they could do that in 10 minutes, it could be out by lunch.

They posted that the range upgrade is getting axed. And that will fix the problem.

Once Eldar ships have to get to 6,000 range to fire it will be possible to fight them. Taunt, Augur disruptor, beacons attached to Eldar ships, Full speed ahead will have enough time to get you close and so on.

They only really became broken with the range upgrade to 9,000 and 12,000 on the Void Stalker.

Problem is that only the pulsar is OP on eldars. They turn bad, holo already nerf, realy low hull, starcanon are weak with poor arc of fire.
Ok, they're fast, and that make them autowin some games versus some opponent, but with no fun for both. No one like be kitted 20 mins, no more been the kitter. It's boring, so boring, and no one pay for that.

But, job will be done, for sure. By reducing the range of the pulsar to start, if rumors turn real.


Eldars must be an ELITE race. Any noob taking them must have hard time, any skilled player must make them a pain. But only with skill, and a 12k pulsars voidstalker is not skilly.

Something else to consider is that yes they could just lower the damage but they have no idea how that will impact the rest of the code. I know it sounds silly but "bullet" physics and numbers can break the code if done wrong. I'd personally rather it take a week or 2 weeks if it means it works right. (I play imp btw and desperately hate being kited but its better they fix it than break more stuff).

Star cannons are also getting a buff to coincide with the pulsar upgrade nerf. Sounds to me the idea is going to be 'get it close and slam them, or hang back and barrage them'

#2 - What are your opinions on the state of the current multiplayer balance?

Imperium is at not far from the gold spot.
Chaos needs some minor tweaks.
Orks could have access to a different batch of upgrades and skills in order to give the faction more flavor. But they are not in a bad spot regarding pure balancing.
Eldars are still the faction that requires the most work. What I can tell you for now, is that we’re going to remove the range upgrades for pulsars, and replace them with new upgrades for Starcannons. Our goal regarding Eldar weaponry is to create a true choice between getting a fleet with Starcannons or a fleet with Pulsars.
Eldar may be a bit too squishy at the moment, but we’re working to see the extent to which this is true. We also understand that the assassination and Data recovery missions are not quite satisfying with or against Eldars, so we’re looking into amending that.
