Dark Eldar literally only have 2 ship classes, so you're going to have to do this eventually for the sake of balance, so might as well do it to make the Eldar more interesting.

Im sorry but why do people keep saying the DE has only 2 vessels?

they had an entire fleet?

That's someone's homemade fan rules.

I'm glad to see the devs communicating. I'm not going to lie, some of those answers don't sit well with me though. Kinda worried about the direction they're heading in. I'll try to write up a critique when I'm able.

Because that is made up fan-stuff.

Yes, it should, and it's in fact extremely generous. Because on TT, the Mark of Nurgle was a flat out immunity to boarding and granted an extra hull point. (It didn't have the void flies it has now.)

Ah ok didnt realize

On the subject of MoN, the problem is that its too kinda too good

it compleatly overshadows MoK as the go to favor for brawler ships

I dont see why we cant deviate form TT like MoS did, which had 6k accuracy debuff, then again im not a fan of the whole +20 troop value thing in the first place, between it and belt armor boarding is kinda weak in higher lvl admiral games

I would love to! Sadly, there’s no existing official reference. All the Eldar ships from the TT are here. As I don’t want to mix the Corsair with the craftworld fleet, there’s no lore-friendly solution at the moment.

Q#9 - What will the Space marine Fleet be comprised of? In the tabletop it only contains the Battle Barge, Strike Cruiser and a variety of escorts?

I can’t say much about it right now, but you should look up the Vanguard light cruiser. Also, it’s said that the Strike Cruiser has the potential for many different refits ; )

I wonder why you couldn't have done refits for the Eldar. The Eclipse already deviates from TT by being bumped up to battlecruiser class and having starcannons added (though the TT model does indeed have some batteries just not in stats).Perhaps the more important point is is do you think the Eldar have any option gaps in their line-up that need to be filled? The problem is that once you pass level 3 there are very little choices to be made in the make-up of your fleet, hull wise at least.

I have new questions regarding the Single-player AI for the Campaign and Skirmish:

1) Can the developers try to code in the AI to be smarter about not running into asteroid fields and minefields?

2) Can the developers attempt to program some randomness on whether they know what kind of ships are detected or not? For example, currently the AI knows where all your transports are at set-up of an Escort Mission.

3) In the Campaign can you review the missions were AI allies do dumb starting movements to kill themselves?

I know AI can be hard but I would think some basic randomization algorithm to simulation guessing about ships is possible. Also, for obstacles and hazards the AI should treat them like they do visible ships: either avoid or ram (guess avoid for hazards).

for those unwilling or unable to look it up. the Vanguard Strike cruiser was a strike cruiser varient that was faster, then the standard strike cruiser and sacrified some firepower for it, having slightly weaker broadsides. the bombardment cannon is then dropped for torpedos.

Also, a separate question about a Replay recorder.

Can the developers add some kind of game recording and replay mechanism so one could go back and view the game via free-floating camera? I think that feature alone would help to sell more of the title, especially if people could upload and view other players replays.

Thx for this platform, just one question

will the campaign map be opened to all factions and or co-op (minus the story)?

Perhaps adding in a limited number of defensive deployments along side the current attacking deployments, forcing players to decide where to hold as well as attack. This would allow players to create their own story in both single and multi player campaign mode.

Sorry though of another question.

Are there plans for another story campaign dlc? I would happily buy it :)

I saw the dev statement that Tindalos wanted a "punishing game". This brought a sigh and a lowering of my 'fun' expectations for BFG. I did see some hope in the Custom Skirmish answer. I believe I will be headed toward that game mode far more than Campaign now. I am staying away from Multi-player until I can be more confident about my ship handling and remembering all those 'specials' stuff and there icon representations. I want to be an asset in multiplayer and not a total or partial fail with my team mate(s).
