wouldnt that remove the purpose of the BO3 thing, the navigator, and the chance to have a fair fight against two fully leveled BB's??
i love the macro game that you play in between the matches, its interesting and ads a lot of depth to the value of certain ships and makes a partial victory possible in dire situations
the capitulate button works a lot like SM plot armor
turning all chapters into smurfs, nobody wants more smurfs

Isn't ranked about who can play the actual matches best? That's why you start with full levellled fleet? The whole Bo3 thing is for the normal MP.

not how they made ranked tho
sounds boring if they did it like that+ its not a fully leveled fleet, just 8000renown

No. Best of three is ranked, one off games with continuity is normal MP.

That's a really weird implemenetation, but gladly I'm not a pvp guy so this does not effect me.

should try it, its really fun
and it works a lot better than it might first seem
dont know how they came up with the the 8000 number but it fits perfectly

its the first game that has been able to tempt me into pvp and have been loving it ever since

Yet you jump into PvP threads to give your opinion on how things should work...

Come play some PvP, you may enjoy it, and it will make your opinions on what to do with PvP relevant.

I'm giving game design perspective advice based on how things worked in other games, that were successful in pvp and (sometimes) pve. Plus I comment on every thread.

Ranked games in most of these systems worked on a win ratio, the rpg element in it is a BFGA thing. Now we got 2 PVP types and both got RPG elements mixed in. Which kind of makes me wonder why not make an RPG PVP and a non RPG version, but eh, any chance of implementing different PVP (or PVE) versions is long gone.

Adding punishments to capitulation will only make less people play the game, this was already a problem with a lot of people not willing to grind through tens of hours to have a fleet fully leveled and upgraded.

Back in the beta stage there was a guy who sent feedback to Tindalos saying leveling up should take more time, they listened, you see how the gaming population has dropped, before suggesting these sort of changes you should consider the long-term effect.

while i understand the annoyance of fighting a fleet built to counter yours
you can capitulate between matches and ram your fleet to death in less than 2min
in skirmish (again) i see your point, but following that reasoning i would just make a capitulate in ranked be a capitulate for the full copetition not just 1 out of 3
getting a BB kill cheezed from under me in ranked after having sacrificed ships to get that kill...
the main weakness of a ship like a BB of the eldar equivalent
or even a emperor if you are playing tzeensh is that he can only have 1or2
kill that thing and you are good, no matter wat you lose, kill that thing and you are good
and then suddenly reality bends, the universe gets unmade, you are at the menu and the damn thing is still alive...it sucks
the thing was dead, he lost, or he could prove he can beat me without

The fact that you chime in every thread dilutes the weight to your words when you do have something valid to say.

In ranked it's only over two to three games and after that you can fully change your fleet for free. I like this aspect. However in standard multiplayer I've been against levels and renown from the start. I'm in the current camp that we should only have ranked play as this already small player base is now split. Added to that ranked player removes the leveling and renown grinding from the multiplayer, something it should never have had.

You've got quite the defeatist attitude. The devs are still working on this game and could well have many things coming that we don't know about.
