Spaces Marines i think needs a nerf in one department

Namely the guided missiles. I played a game as the Imperial Navy against the Spaces marines. Game was assassination, but it didn't matter as he could kited me all day. Guy just spammed guided missiles, was set to auto cast and moved around the map until i peaced out. Only problem i have with the guided missiles is that you don't have to do any kind of aiming. Since SM are faster than Imperium and Orks they can spam this cheese fest.

Eldar i can see them dealing with it because they can at least keep up to trade, but the other slow races they can just wear down. I've played as and against carrier builds but they never seem this effective. Think at least they should activate when they are 3000 near an enemy unit. Least that way there's some kind of involvement aside from "set to autocast and forget" What you all think?

Lol Eldar can melt space marines away with pulsars with ridiculous ease.

While I do agree taht they should be able to fire only 90 forward angle, I don't think they need any other nerf. Just bring a single carrier, duh.

its ok Eldar and chaos still destroy SM, only mode where they are op is assassination or data recovery due to the target being revealed all the time.

Just like bombers and assault crafts, the homing boarding torpedo need a VISIBLE target to chase. Not a mere blip.

I agreed at first with OP but after wising up and adding a defensive carrier worked wonders. You just need to adapt, infact homing torps are one of SM's only saving graces right now. When I added a second defensive carrier and upgrades to extea defense turrets, torpedoes became a non-issue for the most part. If your constantly losing to torp spam but don't being the aforementioned, then the problem is with you not Space Marines.

I find these homing torpedoes hilarous.
It's so fun to watch torpedoes making circles around a ship because they can't make sharp turns or when they hit your ships because you made a turn and didn't count for the torpedoe angle. At least you can't board yourself eh?

Fellow admirals, do remember that OP can not use run silent or clouds as they are referring to an assassination mission. Assassination and Data Recovery targets are permanently revealed. And if they are the attacker, then most likely they do not have time to effectively use run silent while chasing the faster SMs.
