Fleetwide Bomb-limit

Bomb spam. We have all seen it? Multiple drops of Stasis Bomb, Plasma Bomb or Distruption Bomb. While I can see what these bring to the game having to constantly dodge what seems a barrage of bombs drains away some of the fun of fleet combat. Sometimes it feels less like tall ships and more like arcade hour.

If removing them isn't an option, what about limiting them?

Say; max two of each in a fleet? That still means a total of six droppable annoyances, but at least not six of the same kind? Please let them become a limited option.

I'm not a fan of the bombs at all, personally, they dominate combat far more than tactics, positioning, ship selection or anything else.

I have played over 60 battles in MP since launch never using a single bomb.

And I have an 80%+ win ratio.

So you can easily play without bombs. So many useful skills other then bombs.

The problem is having players learn to use those skills instead of running to the first bomb that has a dmg stat in it's description. I see the same pattern with upgrades. So many cool and useful upgrades yet a sea of players just go for + HP + RANGE + DMG + SHIELDS.

So it's not so much the game that needs changing it's the player knowledge and understanding.

Bombs already blow other bombs. It's enough of a nerf.

However, it should probably be redone, it doesn't bring much to the game TBH.

I only field 1 stasis bomb in my kite fleet and I think that is all you need at max

Agreed. I find that bombs breaks up the flow of the game.

But there really should be a penalty for using all abilities: for bombs it could be that your lightning strike will go on cooldown when you use a bomb, or something similar. Also I wish that the orders were implementet in the same way as in TT:
- Lock on -> no turning for duration.
- Brace for impact -> reduced firepower.
- And so on and so forth.
