Doesn't seem like it and that's a huge fuckup IMO.

No 1v1 with friends, no 2v2 against AI with friends, how is this the "release?"

Honestly, this is one of my favorite RTS games of all time, even in beta I've had a lot of fun, but I'm finding this a tough pill to swallow.

Starting to feel like "early access" and the full release is going to be like 2 months from now when the "early adopter" period ends.

How could you not allow us to 1v1 with friends or 2v2 against AI? That's.... really major. HUGE oversight.

From a previous post of Ravensburg

The custom skirmish will allow you to invite friends to play with or against.

"plasma bombs now blow up other bombs" does this mean if you set up a plasma before a stasis or other plasma bombs they will blow up or did that mean map hazard mines?

Edit: nothing about the bug locking up skill1 slot with eldar boost, the eldar forever boost bug, the times you suddenly can no longer direct your ships or issue orders

Where these addressed as well?

So the Pulsars are not changing?

Honestly I was fine with the holofields.

It is stuff like this that makes me want to concede against every Eldar player.

Notice how he eats a Battlecruiser from full health to dead within 30 seconds. Without using any skills on light cruisers i might add.

I know they're French but that seems pretty clear language to me. :P

Actually the full quote from this thread is

Ravensburg wrote:Greeting admirals,

Let me explain what is the custom skirmish mode.

- The custom skirmish offer you several premade maximum level fleets for each faction.
- there's no upgrades or favors on the premade fleets.
- An option allow you to deactivate all the technical skills of the fleet ships.
- All ships of those fleets have preset skills.
- There's no persistence in custom skirmish. (No lost in warp, no heavily damage and no ship destroy).
- You will be able to play with your persistent multiplayer and solo fleets (but without persistent consequences).
- The custom skirmish allow you to play against AI difficulty level of your choice.
- The custom skirmish will allow you to invite friends to play with or against.
- The custom skirmish will allow you to play the mission of your choice.
- The custom skirmish will allow you to set the fleet points of your choice.
- Our team is working hard to get all this implemented as soon as possible. However, the multiplayer aspects of custom skirmish may have to be patched in shortly after the game’s full release.

I hope this will fix some concerns you guys may have. Let me know what you think about it.

Thanks,

Ravensburg

We are working on the 2v2 versus AI and the 1v1 with friend.
It will be added to the game as soon as possible.

Filthy dying xenos scum, I have only one thing to say: The Imperium’s Plasma Batteries have been improved, and the fleet point costs of the Tyrant, Overlord and Retribution have been reworked accordingly

Hahaha, Overlord's waiting for you in the clouds pointy ear freak.

Now only if they made the plasma batteries blue. They are more accurate when plasma is blue....

The Stars belong to Man, long live the Immortal Emperor!

Wanna count your 9000 accuracy when shooting holofield ship?

I really don't think I want to know that. However as all Imperial citizens know, only faith in the Immortal Emperor matters.

In truth, I think this is a buff to the imperial player. It is very kool and strange to only have Eldar (I think, perhaps Chaos?) being able to run silent. That is ... interesting. For the Eldar it is very lore supporting. I did not see where they reduced your Pulsars at all. That is interesting. However overall I think it is really a decent patch. They don't have many ork or chaos notes.

Yeah was hoping for more chaos news. Also yes chaos can run silent. Pretty much how you win matches I've found. Stealth carriers are a delightful pain in a lot of peoples sides.

The patch notes do explicitly mention "solo custom" though, which makes it sound like this isn't ready yet.

I'd love for Ravensburg to confirm otherwise. (Or I can just check later today in-game)

Ah okay. That's what I thought.

This is a major bummer, but I work in software myself and understand that shit happens. Looking forward to getting it in a patch soon!
