Re: Tau Favours Discussion

Thing is, Tau Kor'Or'Vesh cruisers weren't that bad at boarding, they just couldn't lightning strike, and didn't have the broadsides to really tangle with the big guys. They can't brawl very well unless it's prow-first, and you can't board prow-first. So bonus boarding actions really wouldn't be too...

Re: Upon further reflection

There are multiple tactics to use to deal with it as well. It really shouldn't take that long to get to higher values, though. Especially since not every battle you fight is going to be against kiting fleets. They outrange you, yeah, so don't just tell all your ships to go directly towards them. Spr...

Re: When is the next patch?

I'm not saying they're not late. But a week late for a patch, however necessary it might be in the interest of balance, is not worth getting as upset as it seems like people are. Odds are they're trying to rush out Space Marines and were less prepared than they thought, or had setbacks, or things of...

Re: Upon further reflection

Here's the thing. Slow fleets require more strategy to play than fast fleets. You have to plan for where they're going to go, not just where you will, box them in, etc. Because your fleet is slower, it doesn't require as much micromanagement, and you can keep more ships around. Granted, at this poin...

Re: When is the next patch?

People seem very impatient, from where I stand. Literally every day there's new talk about the patch. Give it a week.

Re: How I would do the Tau + Allies

You make a good point, and Manta bombers in TT were resilient against enemy strike craft, rather than turrets, after all. However, I think dropping the damage on the Manta would be rather unhelpful, as it means that total damage potential, especially against low-turret ships is reduced compared to o...

Re: Codex Answers Compiled

Incredibly handy. Thank you, Kor'O!

Didn't know how crits worked until I saw this. Thought it was like the points of damage that had a chance to be a critical hit or something.

Re: No Patch today?

Ah, Bludfist, I believe he meant change Holofields from 80% ignore to 70% ignore, rather than 90. Though the increased effectiveness against Macro-weapons is planned, from what I remember reading, though that might have been implemented in an earlier patch. Making Starcannons more desirable in compa...

Re: How I would do the Tau + Allies

As a note, the hint for the Tau was that "We've intercepted alarming signals from the Damocles sector! For the greater good!" Which seems to me like the time period that it would be meant to take place in would be the Damocles Crusade. In which case, the Kor'Or"Vesh would have been in...
