Voidstalker is strong, but it's a symptom of the Eldar design, not necessarily overpowered itself. The only Eldar weapons worth a damn are pulsars and ordnance. I think tac cog is a symptom of a confused game pace. If the game has been designed in such a way that allowing players to slow down game time to micro things is necessary... then something's wrong with the underlying gameplay. It's definitely a grind, and it *only* punishes new admirals and people who don't play as much as others. Eventually you run out of things to spend renown on, and repairing ships is trivial because you can always afford to repair. Keeping ships alive ceases to have any meaning. Meanwhile, newer play...

Bummer.

HERO was abrasive, no doubt. Probably came off a little harsher than he needed to. But his criticisms of this game were spot on, and I feel like he'd have done a much better job of balancing the game than Tindalos or the test team are.

Well as always I'm glad folks agree for the most part. I really think this game has potential and I want to see it succeed! @ErikModi: Honestly my first reaction to the stealth mechanic was similar to yours. I hated it at first. Now I really do see the potential in it, but think it needs some tweaks...

I've encountered similar strategies, and honestly the big enabling factor that allows it to happen is that gas clouds have no downside. There is never a reason to NOT be in a gas cloud. It only has bonuses.

I completely agree. It's a very bizarre system, and can really put new players off. Ship upgrades and skills should cost points. Renown should be removed entirely. Persistent fleets in multiplayer shouldn't be a thing. It's a great singer player mechanic, but in multiplayer it's a pretty awful idea.
