tau have more use for detection ability's but that doesnt mean they need more, chaos also doesnt have blindfire skills and kiting needs as much of an eye on what you are kiting as kited needs to spot the kiter, really has no difference more detection would make homing torps just annoying also tau d...

SM suck mostly b/c of their massive weakness to ordnance imo (Low hp outside of battlebarges and the only defensive fighters are from a rather weak skill). Tau are not strong at long range as their tooltip suggests either though. They're actually doing their best at 6k range. They also can't really kite so "weak at close range" design won't work for them unless they can deal enough damage to blow up ships on approach.

Meh, Chaos is the easiest faction to fight Tau with imo (and the most versatile faction overall cause it can do a bit of everything). Long range lance works, Tzeench is just the icing on the cake. I don't think energy shields ever affected missiles in the first place. The energy shield nerf just made mantas not benefit from it (which I don't feel was necessary tbh, as it replaces the very powerful cooldown launchbay upgrade.
