Railgun not ignoring shields would stop performing its artillery role vs kiting Chaos and would still trash Eldar or 100 shields SM ships, which are the two races who suffer the most from it, it's a bad idea (if it's the only change).

You could say the same about Chaos favours - Nurgle is too strong compared to other CQC favours (actually it's much stronger than the fire caste) and counters main Chaos weakness, while Slaanesh and Tzeench are both extremely cheesy. You can find "cheesy" favours for most other factions to...

I'd buff most weapons on LCs (they suck so badly), give strike cruisers +100 shield and make fighter skill launch 2 squadrons on strike cruiser and 3 on battle barge (maybe still 2, 3 might be an overkill given that it has its own relatively short cooldown). I feel that would sort it out. Leveled up...

The only 2 setups that feel bit unfair in MP to me so far: -Railgun spam (depends on the opponent, orks don't give a damn). Seekers are only 4 dps raw at 3k for 12 turret ship now and need two upgrades to be fully functional. AP ammo adds 2.4 dps for a 12 dps macro ship at 3k. To outrun even a 10 degree turn rate at 3k you'll need ~520 speed. Tau turn speed is absolutely irrelevant for flanking, you can't even outrun ork turn speed this way. You flank them just like you would flank anyone else - by attacking from two angles. I've actually faced a few players who did that ...
