Re: Excellent work, disturbing lack of gravitas.

Yeah, lances/zzaps and chaos macros and missile pods really need a bit more impact behind them in the sound department. Collisions and Ork/IN macros are good (though Ork kannonz would also do well with a unique firing sound of their own), the music is great and the crit damage explosion is pretty go...

Re: Caliber of rounds.

Actual scale was 1cm = 1000km. But to put that into perspective, a torpedo in 40k only has to detonate within about 5,000km of it's target to have a good chance of dealing damage. Literally 40k weapons can miss by more than the maximum range of an EVE weapon and still do damage. Well, actually it's...

Re: N00b build for Protect your Admiral and Data (defender) missions

But I thought in both missions the game makes you visible to your opponent. Thus running silent will not help, there is this big marker on your ship saying "He is Here!" That is what I thought any way. bb It makes you visible at the start. Hit silent running and you'll drop off the grid.

Re: N00b build for Protect your Admiral and Data (defender) missions

Well, my first choice with Orks is Da Green Ghost - an Ork Krooza with two sets of ordnance launch bays in it's broadsides, Bloody Axes favour, engine upgrades to increase speed and not reveal it when doing special maneuvers, flying through asteroid fields without losing health and shorter cooldowns...

Re: Thoughts about Balance Patch 2 OBT...

You telaport a single space marine (or two) into a part of a ship and that part of the ship is doomed, numbers be damned, Space Marines are just that OP. Yeah, no. It's not ever that simple. There's a reason that 5-man fireteams, not single Marines, are the absolute smallest organisational block us...

Re: Thoughts about Balance Patch 2 OBT...

well to be fair a single company of space marines is enough to take some planets hahaha. That's pretty typical hyperbole unless we're talking about a feual world or something - and even then they'd be nigh-incapable of effectively holding it. For all the concentrated combat power a MArine might be,...

Re: Thoughts about Balance Patch 2 OBT...

Decreasing Orks troop value is a definite must, a simple Basha Light Cruiser outfitted with Goff Clan bits and its Boyz upgraded to max goes right up to 89 rating, while a Dauntless cruiser with a Space Marine complement and upgrades goes only up to 79 rating. I find it very hard to believe that a ...

Re: Ork Escorts: Savage

Imps are as easily kitted as the Orks, but have much fewer ways stopping you from kitting: fewer carriers, no long range crit/damage favours, no bourding torps ect. That is just completely and utterly wrong and in and off itselgf disqualifies your entire opinion as nothing but baseless whining alre...

Re: [BUG] Ork ship with destroyed engines stuck in permanent boost

Well, apparrently you can break the bug by ordering and aborting an emergency warp-out. That leaves your ship sitting here with the boost off and the engine crit working as usual.

Yeah, but you wanna pop the little blighters anyway lest there suddenly be an escort-sized hole in one of your cruisers.
