Uh, no. None of these ships are fast, they're BB speed.

Re: What's the point of the Kroot Sphere?

Don't believe the hate, Warspheres are amazing. For 100 points, you get a BB that's immune to critical hits. That's ridiculously good. You fit them with extra turrets and the long range damaging turret upgrades that the Tau have to improve their limited DPS, and make them more durable, then you, the...

Re: Are we going to see the Alternate escorts in BFG:A?

escort carrier seems really easy to abuse Not really, they pop just as easily as any other escort but are still expensive. Which makes them huge targets. the LC sized escort seems really powerful for orks, sure no favors and probably no bonkers mek but with orks main weapon being their ship Orks ar...

Are we going to see the Alternate escorts in BFG:A?

In addition to the normal escorts, there are other ships used by every race. Right now, the transport is the one we're familiar with, but there are others. 1. System Defense Ships. These cost 20 points only! They have 1 shield, hull point, and turret, 5 armor, and 15cm speed, along with a 30cm range...

Re: More difference between tau cruisers?

We need the Explorer, Hero, and Merchant class ships to give actual variety to the Tau.

Shield nerf makes the upgrade, and Cruisers, useless now

I was a big fan of the Protector Cruisers w/Shield upgrade, but now their torpedoes are no more. Without that, there's not much reason to take them. I've switched to, instead of 3 Protectors, taking a combination of Demiurg ships and light cruisers. The shielded torpedoes really gave them a niche, o...

I, for one, would REALLY REALLY REALLY like to see the Hero and Explorer in the current Tau fleet. All of you people saying the original Tau fleet was bad are full of crap, there's a LOT of interesting material there, and both the Hero and Explorer would be AMAZING in BFG:A, with their current setups.

Re: adaptive disruptors

Basically this upgrade, on it's own, makes the Tau the best long-range fighters in the game. Why? Because it applies armor to the shields, meaning enemy Macrobatteries only do ONE QUARTER of their normal damage (One half if they have the AP upgrade). This means that the Tau will ALWAYS win a long ra...

More ships: Are we going to see ALL of them in the game's later development?

While we have many races that needed NEW ships for this game because their own lists were lacking, this thread is about the opposite issue: Are we going to see every BFG ship in BFG:A? The IoM, Chaos, and Tau are missing a lot of their ships, and while obviously getting every faction in with a lineu...

Re: Veritatem Imperialis mod - Version PR-0-1

The Moddb page mentions this mod adds 'wing' guns?

You realize those are the retro-thrusters, right?

'Stop' isn't actually a real command in BFG. The main engine stays on, and the retro thrusters fire to halt the ship, or slow it depending on the roll.

That's why the retros are so huge.
