Re: The Ultimate Solution for Persistent Mode

I can see the rooms now: (NO ORK NOVA SPAM) (NO CHAOS LANCE FLEETS) (n00bs ONLY) (NO ELDAR) I think this would divide the game even more and reduce the number of matches that are played as people will enforce their scrubness on all. Think Total War's no arty rooms as people who can't figure out how...

The Ultimate Solution for Persistent Mode

I think we can all agree that the current Persistent multiplayer mode is fundamentally flawed. The player base is so small at this point that the matchmaker has no choice but to throw low level beginner fleets against level 8 admirals with level 10 ships. After getting repeatedly stomped, new player...

Re: Flogging A Dead Horse, With Hope

Honestly the player base is so small at this point that the only real solution is to scrap matchmaking altogether and replace it with a good old fashioned server browser. Allow players to set up the matches they want to play, specifying the point levels, game modes, and admiral level. This change al...

Re: Mont'ka vs Kauyon

Still not sure about Mont'ka "In addition, the chances of destroying a targeted subsystem on an enemy ship are quadrupled instead of doubled. This bonus is also applied to critical damage caused by weaponry. " I always interpreted this as after the crit is rolled the chance that the crit ...

Re: Stronghold might be too good for it's point cost.

Seraph, the only reasoning you have provided for your position so far is that the Stronghold has too much HP and weapons for its point cost, and then suggesting a new cost that happens to be the exact same as the Retribution, while claiming that it has nothing to do with the Retribution. I agree wit...

Re: Just stuck with space marines

Really the only viable strategy with SM is to cripple your enemy with as many boarding actions as fast as possible, then move in once there's nothing they can do to retaliate. Boarding torps and thunderhawks are your main weapon for this, since you really don't want to be rushing in for normal board...

Re: Imperator's and PistonMiner's 'Veritatem Imperialis' mod - Prerelease test available

Seems like these people never played Space marine OR Dawn of war or FFG. Most video game depictions of 40k weapons are incorrect I'm afraid. The problem is GW left most of the art decisions up to the developers, so it was never clear who actually got it right. Even within franchises there are discr...
